A Song That Makes Me Sad

Day Four – A Song That Makes Me Sad:

This is a difficult one for me to write about. Not that I didn’t know what song I was going to use for this day. It’s more because “Brick” by Ben Folds Five, written and released back in 1997, disturbs me even to this day.

The song itself is haunting; the piano is beautiful yet sad. But it’s the lyrics to the song that get me every time.

My “Least” Favorite Song

Day Two – My “Least” Favorite Song:

I actually had a hard time trying find a least favorite song. I think it’s because I inherently believe all songs have redeeming qualities.

(Huh. Come to think of it … I think anything or anyone in the world has some redeeming qualities. You just have to look for it … )

Take Rebecca Black’s song “Friday” … This is that song and video that went viral on the internet after critics and viewers on “the webs” claimed that it was the worst song ever written. So yes … I was one of those fools that clicked on Rebecca’s video and watched in horror as the song played out. And I confess that I thought that it was a pretty bad song.

The Month of June

I’ve wanted to do this project for quite a while now. Except that lately, I haven’t had much time to focus on writing. It’s been a busy month for work; busier still with weekend activities. That’s pretty evident since I haven’t had much time to blog in the past month or so.

But that’s about to change. Because this project happens to be a “daily” post, I figure it would go well with my goal to do at least one month of NaBloPoMo. And this month’s happens to fit perfectly with the task at hand.
